August 30, 2011. The 6200 block of Pioneer Way E, Puyallup, WA. At about 5:10PM the driver of the east bound Mazda was driving at high rate of speed well over the posted speed limit and suspected of DUI lost control, crossing the centerline, hitting the SUV causing it to rollover off of the roadway. The innocent victim in the SUV had to be extricated by cutting a portion of the roof off. Fortunately the injuries are not life threatening. The at fault driver did suffer serious leg injuries. The engine of the Mazda was ripped out coming to rest in a ditch several feet away along with remains of it?s radiator. I didn?t see where the left drive wheel landed. Central Pierce Fire and Rescue responded and did excellent work. The Pierce County Sheriff is investigating the accident. Pioneer Way was closed for more than 4 hours,
